The Time has come! This is a chance of the life time! We, the people who bring you Newscast, have decided it is time we bring some new blood into the fold. Thats right. We will be holding tryouts to become an intern for Newscast. What does this mean? simple, if you win, you will be one of the lucky few to join the Newscast crew on their many adventures, bringing your own uniqueness with you. This is not something we do often, or lightly, So if you have ever wanted to join us, be sure not to miss this chance.

The tryouts, will be held in two weeks, the rules of the tryouts will be explained then. for now, respond to this thread with your character Bio that you would like to have entered, to sign up.

Name: Taldein Eldevar
Position: Bodyguard
Age: 23
Race: Human
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Gender: Male
Height: 6'9"

Distinguishing Features: Incredibly tall.

Taldein was an only child raised by a single mother. His childhood was mostly uneventful aside from being a bit of an outcast. His larger than normal stature made him an easy target for the other children, and his gentle heart made it impossible for him to fight back Still he grew up happy and well adjusted.

In his teenage years he began to notice the growth of his strength and power. It became almost unnatural, but he hid it as best he could. Trying to avoid further becoming an outcast. It was difficult for him since he's always been a bit of a klutz and unable to fully realize his own strength.

After high school he presued a degree in music. Emphasizing on choral and orchestral music. A degree that has since been useless. Every time someone takes a look at the large man he roped into muscle jobs. one of his biggest problems is the view people have based on his body, rather than his mind, and curiosity.

[Amuki/Ikuma]

Name: Amuki/Ikuma
Position: Quirky community events reporter
Age: 124.3 (Call her any more than that and she will not be happy with you.)
Race: Drakkat (Small breed of dragon with feline tendancies and a soft mane of fur down her back instead of spines. Also shape shifters.)
Hair: Her mane is a light blue, contrasting against her platinum scales.
Eyes: Sparkling blue (literally sparkling, looking closely reveals little dancing lights that move along her iris.)
Gender: Female/Male
Height: 2'6" (As Drakkat, can vary greatly with shape shifting.)

Distinguishing Features: Regardless of the form that Amuki takes she always has a mark on her. This mark is a royal blue depiction of an eight pointed star. If the form she has taken has a face it is located on her forehead, any other form it is located in an appropriate place. Any form she takes will always have the same sparkling blue eyes. Everything else though can change in any way, shape, or form.

Amuki had a pretty normal life... for a Drakkat. Born in the astroid belt near earth, she never knew her parent (When Drakkats mature enough their two sides can split for short periods, allowing them to have a child). She was born with some basic knowledge, and spent her first hundred years of life exploring the outer planets and learning about the world.

After she had had her fun in the outer planets she moved inwards, eventually arriving at earth. She really enjoys playing on earth, and so has spent the last 20 years just traveling around and having fun.

Amuki is playful, bouncy, energetic, curious, loves silly pranks, and has become obsessed with the earth produce of strawberries and frosting (Particularly the type of frosting with sprinkles in it.). She will do almost anything for these treats, and usually upon getting them reverts back to her Drakkat form. She is extremely innocent, and so when she changes into a human like form she is usually wearing an extremely minimal amount of clothing. Every now and again she will just add the word Paru into her speech.

Imuka is her male side, and he doesn't come out that often. Usually he comes out when Amuki is threatened or about to be taken advantage of, hence the reason she has been able to stay innocent. He is stoic, cold, and rather boring. He rarely appears in Drakkat form, mostly just in a human form where he wears simple but good looking clothes.

Distinguishing Features: Has a compartment in its chest containing all sorts of acceseries, and on its back with two dials for height and width/Always wears a suit, top hat, carries cane, is midnight blue, and its face is just one big smile on its head

The Quilton: This particular Quilton is a sub Quilton...a Quilton that can not control its Quilton powers, at all, but anyone that walks up to it can do as it wishes to it. A normal Quilton can change its mind, blank its memory, make fake memories, change its height, change its size, etc, as such, they are among the best spies and assassins in their home land, and becoming one is considerd a great honor, even though one has to give up their past to become and, and recovering their past turns them to normal. A sub Quilton is a Quilton by punishment, unable to use its powers, which anyone else that walks up to it can use as they wish.
When this Quilton was mortal, it was a cult leader, brainwashing and warping the minds of others. It ticked off the wrong.....things, and as such, had its self ripped from it, and was made into a Sub Quilton. Normal a Quilton remembers becoming one..but when a sub Quilton is made, the process is usually the painful way, and they tend to block it out. At the moment, it is currently in a crate in N.I.I waiting to be shipped off to some su...er...lucky person, being marketed as a P.D.A....personal doll assistant. Of course that part is not exactly explained. >.>

Mr Grin: Mr Grin is a spirit known as an Ad Elemental. Like Ads, they can come in any shape, size, and personality, however they can only interact with the rest of reality through ads. Mr Grin is a rather powerful one, in that it can appear in just about any non warded ad.
Currently Mr Grin is "employed" at Not Insane Industries, selling products to cause just a little bit of Chaos. Currently it is trying to sell a "P.D.A" and calling it only that, letting others assume that the D, stands for digital. While in an ad, it can interact with the world, like grabbing things, or giving things, such as forms, pens, etc.

The Quilton is the character I would like to play here. o.o Mr Grin is a kinda NPCish character, that anyone could use to move a story along. Hope I don't get rejected too hard. ^.^;

[Zoko]

Name: Zoko
Position: Environmental Science Reporter
Age: looks about 17
Race: Sprite
Hair: Flaming Red, a little longer than shoulder-length
Eyes: Green/Brown
Gender: Female
Height: 4'9"
Distinguishing Features: Nothing to speak of besides her hair and height, except that she usually dresses in clothes of animal skins and/or plants.

Zoko grew up in an isolated European forest. She is a lot older than she looks by human standards. She was captured by scientists (believing her to be a wild child) who kept her in a lab for a year for experiments & study. During that time she learned French and English (the lab was in France, the lead scientists were British. She also speaks her native Sprite language.) She escaped and has been traveling through forests and wilderness searching for a safe home, and has decided that if she gets a job of some kind, the government will lose track of her.
She has animal instincts and traits, such as a heightened sense of smell and hearing (probably not as much as Moero, more like a dog's or cat's.) She can also communicate with animals telepathically and get them to do stuff she wants if she feels like it. She can't read the minds of humans very well or at all, depending on the openness of the human. She doesn't have the best social graces and will usually say whatever she feels like saying.
She has a pet hedgehog named Lia that is with her all the time.

Distinguishing Features: For centuries, a wealthy secret society of aliens from different worlds worked diligently to achieve a single goal: To bring into the universe a being which would unite the planets under a banner of sexual freedom and self expression. Covertly, they bred those (generally humanoid-shaped) beings considered the most sexually attractive on their respective worlds to each other, using the highest in technology available to them to aid in the process.
.The final product was created in the winter of 1975 in the lab from the ova of an extinct species and the seed of a British glam rock musician. They named the baby Gershwin Oplack, in honor of his father’s profession and mother’s surname. He was then placed with a nice family from Amsterdam, who raised him to be a free-spirited, open minded, sexually liberated adult.
Yet Gershwin has always been more interested in the business world and economic trends than sexual liberation. He started investing at 16, and was a major stock trader in the global market by 21. After a mild heart attack at 26, he officially retired, at which time he traveled the world.
Now 31, Gershwin is ready to work again, even though he doesn’t need the money. Retirement was boring, and while he doesn’t need the money, more is better right?

Gershwin is inherently sexually attractive to, well, everyone, a fact that causes him no end of embarrassment. He has actually considered cosmetic surgery to change the way he looks, but can’t seem to find a doctor who will agree to operate on him. He is male, though can reconfigure his genitalia to mate reproductively with any gender in almost any species at will. His almond shaped eyes change colors with his mood, in the full spectrum. His hair is a shiny black that reflects hues of pink green, blue and purple, depending on how the light is hitting it. His skin tone is very similar to his Caucasian human father, with a very faint metallic silver sheen to it from his mother. He dresses conservatively, and carries a .45 Magnum. He is reasonably athletic, and a vegetarian. He has no idea how long his lifespan will be, though the society (which is still watching him from afar to this day) estimates a natural lifespan of 120-160 years.

Race: Dynarin from Dyera
Hair: Dark purple, around 4 feet long.
Eyes: Crimson red cat eyes.
Skin tone: Light Grey
Gender: Female
Height: 5"3'
Distinguishing Features: Sy'n has a medium sized tattoo of a Siren on her lower back.

Sy'n grew up traveling space with her father, who worked in merchant vessels as the captain. One day, space pirates raided the ship and captured both Sy'n and her father. After watching the pirates kill her dad, she was taken aboard their ship and thrown in the brig, destined to be raped and murdered. While the ship was docked, Sy'n escaped the brig with the help of her Mincha, (Like a cross between a black cat and a koala.) named Tyran. After escaping she trained under various Masters, learning many different Martial Arts, to become a deadly assassin, bought a ship, and began to seek out revenge on those involved with the killing of her father. After a 30 years of searching she finally found, and killed the blood thirsty Pirates.

Sy'n would later go on to become a treasure hunter, one of her favorite past times she had never been able to carry out while looking for her father's murderers. Eventually, she learned of a legendary treasure, supposedly greater than all the rest, and would spend the next 300 years looking for that treasure. Sy'n now has reason to believe that this treasure has been hidden on Earth, and that the Newscast crew has the next clue to locating where it is.

Sy'n has the eyes similar to a cat's which makes it quite easy to see in the dark, you will always see her carrying a rather large sword and a laser-pistol, which she says belonged to the murderous captain who killed her father.
She is rather outspoken, but when introduced to new, or uncomfortable situations she tends to say random things, and She is also known for hearing only what she wants to hear.
